The story
Fathom Analytics was founded in 2018 by Paul Jarvis and Jack Ellis as a simple, privacy-focused alternative to Google Analytics that does not collect personal visitor data. The company has remained self-funded and remote-first, growing from an open-source project into a paid hosted product used by thousands of customers, and later acquired the older analytics tool Gauges. It continues to operate independently out of Canada without outside investment.
