The story
Superhuman traces to Grammarly, founded in 2009 by Max Lytvyn, Alex Shevchenko and Dmytro Lider as a writing-correction tool, and to Coda, founded in 2014 by Shishir Mehrotra and Alex DeNeui. In 2025 Grammarly acquired Coda and the separate Superhuman Mail app (originally founded by Rahul Vohra), renamed the whole company Superhuman, and launched a new proactive AI agent product called Superhuman Go. It now operates as a suite (Mail, Docs, Grammarly, Go) led by CEO Shishir Mehrotra.
