The story

Loom was founded in San Francisco in 2015 by Joe Thomas, Vinay Hiremath, and Shahed Khan to make asynchronous work communication easier through quick screen and video recordings. It grew from a Chrome extension into a full video messaging platform used by millions, raising venture funding from Kleiner Perkins, Sequoia, a16z and others before Atlassian acquired it for $975 million in late 2023.
