The story
ElevenLabs was founded in 2022 by Polish entrepreneurs Piotr Dabkowski and Mati Staniszewski to build realistic AI speech synthesis after being frustrated by poorly dubbed films. It grew from a text-to-speech beta into a broader audio AI platform covering voice cloning, dubbing, conversational voice agents and music generation, raising successive funding rounds up to an $11 billion valuation by early 2026.
