The story
The Browser Company was founded in 2019 by Josh Miller and Hursh Agrawal to build a more personal alternative to Chrome, launching Arc publicly in 2023. In 2025 it stopped developing new Arc features to focus on an AI-first browser called Dia, and was acquired by Atlassian for roughly $610 million later that year.
